There's a new page on the web, . ."Stringlinks".

It provides a quick and easy way to compare prices on guitar strings.

Basically, there is a list of vendors(Online Dealers), that link directly to their "Guitar Strings" page, electric or accoustic/classical.

You can click on as many links as you like, and they open in a new window each time, making it easy to compare prices on strings without losing your place.

The List of Dealers are the ones you would expect to see(and want to use), and a few new hidden nuggets, as well.

It's Great! If your a guitar player, save them to your favorites!
If not, email the link to your friends who are players. They'll thank you!

Did you get money back from your taxes? Buy a new Guitar!

Spring is sprung(although the weatherman may not agree), Tax season is over(Uncle Sam may not agree on this one), and it's time to get out of the house(your local Gas Station owner WILL agree with this one)!

Its that time of the year when we start feeling that itch! . .

The feel as our hand slides down the smooth, unblemished neck. That finely shaped body, resting against your mid-section. You reach down and ever so gently, run your fingers along the curvatures. After a bit of fondling, you go for it!!

A BRAND NEW GUITAR!

Our Old guitar is feeling just that, Old! With a bruised body, a crooked neck, all scratched up, and a chip in her head, . .all she's got going for her is a new G string!

It's time to take advantage(GuitarAdvantage as I like to say), of those Spring Sales.

Did Uncle Sam say you could have some back? If you answered No on this then change the number of dependents you claim, or have your boss withhold more.

Volkswagen to
"Rock n' Roll"?

Volkswagen is giving away a guitar with certain models in an effort to spur on sales in their most successful target audience.Here is what's cool about it. Is comes equipped with a preamp so you can plug in and jam right through the cars sound system. Also, You can download background tracks or riffs to jamb along with! As for the pitfalls, . . a young targeted audience, . . a car, . . loud music, . . and a guitar. You do the math!

About the Guitar

The guitar is made by First Act, the brand most people recognize for Kids instruments in the box stores. What is not known by most people is the fact that First Act also has a line up of "big kid" guitars. They are played and endorsed by some big names,(like Brad Whitford of Aerosmith) and have been seen played in some big venues.

Each GarageMaster Guitar will:

* come with custom colored pick guards complementing the exterior of the car

* feature the traditional Volkswagen logo and "V Dub" inlay

* have a guitar strap made of safety belts

* come with VW knobs, a prominent blue indicator light that matches the trademark instrument panel lighting of Volkswagen vehicles.

* VW logo guitar picks and a carrying case to take the music anywhere.

* display the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the owner's Volkswagen vehicle

What will come of all this?

Bottom line, . . . If you like VW's, It looks cool! Would I buy the car to get the guitar? No. I would probably turn to ebay if I wanted one bad enough.

If you want the car, . . buy it.

If you are a guitar collector and want the guitar, . . find someone who bought the car and can't play.

If you want a quality guitar to play, . . . go to the guitar experts, not a car manufacture!

While First Act is no Fender, or Gibson in the market place, I would expect to see someone well known show up at some large venue playing the VW GarageMaster, making it a "cool gimmicky sought after cult product" and ebay will come out the winner.
